I found this baby Juvenile Seagull crying for food with a limp on its right foot that looks like wrapped in a blue sticker of some sort with white writings. You can see a metal tag with a serial number on the other foot but the blue tag turned out to be from a tagging project from Belgium where this bird flew from!

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds had replied to my enquiry: This is a juvenile bird (so born this summer), and the calls you hear are indeed begging calls, but there is a story behind this. Here it goes;
This individual was actually raised in the bird rehabilitation centre of Ostend (Belgium) after it had fallen from a roof, at a stage it could not fly yet. Roof breeding by gulls is a phenomenon that is increasing rapidly, mainly since ground breeding colonies are more and more under pressure of development and occurrence of foxes.
So, this Lesser Black-backed gull was raised by people and is actually begging to you for food since you look a lot like one of its parents, in the meantime pecking at competitors.
The colour ringed leg is a bit swollen indeed, and is maybe a result of the "jump". Anyway, birds are always ringed with great care. This injury will not affect this bird any longer.

his is a juvenile gull and the sound you can hear is actually begging for food and not a cry of distress. This is also shown with the head bobbing movement. As it is begging it won't like other birds being very close to it that could pinch any food it gets so will be quite aggressive to other non gull species.

It does seem to have a slight limp but we will be able to look into this in more detail when we find out the birds history and it doesn't look like it is affecting the birds behaviour.
